He is not impressed by fancy footwork, high GPAs, my amazing
critical care skills, how excellent my card-making workmanship
is, or how pretty I look when I have make up on.
God, He is pretty special.
He has always been after my heart instead. [Psalm 51:16-17]
What are the contents of the heart?
Motives, character, etc.
How do you tell a person's character anyway?
Time, spending time together, time, time, time and time.
Outward actions capture attention,
but inward character lasts the long haul and captures the heart.
Being like Jesus is not about keeping the rules,
going to church, and
tithing.
It’s about knowing His forgiveness, and committing
acts of
grace and mercy on a consistent basis.
It’s about living a life that
values all people.
And it’s about having a heart of full surrender to
the will of our Father.
