I woke up this morning, peaceful, serene, and still in a daze, my
sleepy eyes peeking through the mounts of blankets and pillows. And I
saw that the sun has come up.
My morning peace and serenity lasted a short 4 seconds.
After
which I went into a blind panic; because when you have an afternoon shift and you wake up to see the sun already shining, that means GOOD
JOB you are so damn late T__T
SHIATES WHAT TIME IS IT. I reached for my handphone on my bed side table but it wasn't there. I
searched all my usual spots where the blasted phone would usually turn
up; on the chair, on the floor, under the bed, under the tables,
(apparently i do some kung fu kicks in my sleep), in my numerous
handbags and paper piles I have lying around the room, everywhere. Extra panic.
I turned my whole room upside down and guess where I found it in the end?
In the dustbin -_-
I cannot for the life of me figure out how that happened. Either I did some serious kung fu move in my sleep, probably in retaliation when the alarm went off, Or
did I actually had too little sleep last night (tired and all from rushing essays), and silly me chuck poor Sammy (the Samsung) into the dustbin?
Lucky for me, I wasnt late. In fact I had some time to pack up my stuff crowding in that room and believed Im a domestic goddess.
Teehee
The sun came out bright and chirpy. Then turned cloudy the next thing I knew after coming out from the showers.
Venetia is bright eyed and bushy tailed. Of course, she made my day. That would be dearest sunshine close to heart, Simmylove
Okay, if you are Yap Gui Hua, I suggest you close this window right this moment. Get out, get out of here = before you feel pangs of jealousy. Dont say I didnt warn you.

I totally mortified that the huge bruised on my left thigh actually showed up on picture. Worst of all, I dont even know how I got it. It was just there one fine day after I came back from work. Big bruise only started to clear up 3 days with change of colour after A helped rubbed it. Pain til can die.

Really, there's nothing to rave about. Plus I, the only with the camera, did not take many pictures because I was occupied catching up with the ladies. Its a time where good friends meet after a very very long time. And it was just perfect. Only It ended quite early for me as I had to work the next day.
Okay time for more backlogged events I've been meaning to blog about.
My first time to Singapore Beer Festival. Actually, come to think of it, Ive never heard of such an event over the years I became legal to alcohol. But well, there's always a first time to anything, everything.
And being really lazy, and tired after work. I didnt walk around to explore the beers and the soak up the atmosphere. Since K has free tickets, and found a really good spot seated right in front of the Guinness Bar, where else would I rather be, right.
What made drinking even happier was with every glass of Guinness Draught we ordered, we get to choose free gift, total of 5 different types. Needless to say, we colleted all 5 and even got a few extras - of which Im going to share with RoseyGH. That's what good friends are for = care and share
The turn out wasnt spectacular, end up, we were given heaps of food as the night passed. The best part of it all, it was all Free of Charge! To think it came at the right time as we were preparing to leave and grab supper at Newton. *munch munch*
This is K layaning the waitress in hope to get more free gifts. Sadly, I was the one who had the extra free gift from her, as well as her email address. I know. Sounds really really wrong.
So I came up with the evilest plan. K to send me home in exchange for her email address. What an irresistable offer impossible to decline. Im a genius
What is it with human nature and their desire for all things bad for them.We know that if we play with fire, we'll get burned. And yet we crave for that very danger and excitement, even if it means drizzling the entire tank of gasoline over ourselves and ask for the match.
Thanks J, if not for you that I could rant at the moment I got home, I would have sparked a blazing fire I cannot put out myself. Mind riots are bad. Very Bad.
And as if there's not enough bad news in the world, what with the politics and crumbling economies all around us.
Only last week I found out that 2 of my friends' parent has been recently diagnosed with cancer.
:( wow the world is looking pretty dull right about now
mybossG : The plan is to wait for her to wake up, then extubate short pause mybossG : Dont keep the room quiet me : ??? [totally no idea what he meant] mybossG : You should play some rock music inside me : -_- "
Suffice to say, such layaning from my consultant happens fairly often. Not that Im complaining, just really amused.
My weekly dose of night shift ended quickly today. I was on my way home with sole intention to catch up on zzz's and the moment I put myself to bed, it started to rain! Oh joyous rain!
Thank yoo Mother Nature for setting the perfect mood for a cosy sleep in - complete with the soft pitter-patter background lullaby, the faint smell of rain, dark cold cosy atmosphere, and bluey jazz music to drift away to Lalaland. [hearts] sheer bliss I tell you
But my love affair with Uni assignments continues. le sigh
Ok will probably skip out on fuller posts on the backlogged events because these things tend to accumulate. Will throw in just a few splashes of old pictures for now before they become obsolete
Singapore Grand Prix 2008!
Lighted up at night like a rockstar. I was just flipping through my picutures and realised not one night shot, at all. I figured its coz we get to roam about in the day and by night, shagged til can die. Being stationed at the Padang Grandstand, it was just exactly where I would want to be - with all the party people. Just sit there and watch the yummy men go by. Grin
View from Paddock Grandstand
Paddock Club with the Singapore Flyer as backdrop. Pretty
As you can see, we shamelessly allowed ourselves some empty seats available while camwhoring and I was practically doing a para-para alike conversation with HY on the opposite doing duty as track medical.
One of the best shots I had, took during practice session
I dont doubt he got a pretty good seat up there. But poor fella', must be too tired from all the hardwork.
Okay bye. Im off to another day of life saving rock and roll job. Its the midweek crisis I tell you. Toodles!
After a long week of mugging [including a few failed attempts], I allowed myself to rest the entire weekend away. I was so knackered from the morning paper, A rewarded me by taking me out for sarap [delicious] fried fish bee hoon lunch before I took a nap at 1pm.
In the process, I had the most violent and disturbing nightmare that i can remember in a long time… It ended with a snake writhing out of someone's body which was even more freaky
That was when I woke up, eyes a-snap open Looking at the time on my hp, it was 7:33 pm Usually when I wake up from a normal nightmare, I'd just stone for a while and wash my face This time round, I got up and walked straight out of the room without even switching on the lights I just had to get out of there
What did I eat? I didn't eat anything bad… Did I watch something violent recently… No. How the heck could I have thought of something up like that by myself!?
But I'm (supposedly) an adult and cannot possibly go running to mommy and daddy when I have nightmares, can I? That would also mean I have to take my passport and cross the causeway.
So I did it the chicken shit way.
And ran to A's place
>_<
Also, Ive been promising pictures of F1, Sg Beer Festival and a few other outings. The painful truth - all of them are still in my camera. Nope, not even loaded into my laptop. Sorry guys. I’ve been really caught up = insane lack of sleep + much coffee And I havent responded to dearest Aiai's sweet online gift.
When u see the mirror in the morning, what's the first thing you say? Can I go back to sleep? Heh.
Updates on Singapore Beer Festival when weekend comes. Lots of Guinness !! Need to reward myself too you know ;p Now that MOS is closing, no more Hed Kandi dancing nights for me post exams. Shoo sad.
Alright, I just may be in over my head. I've got entirely too much on my plate right now. If you haven't heard from me, I'm still alive and not ignoring you. I've just got A LOT going on!
STOP ME before I volunteer again, next time
Singapore really is alive and well. All the talk about the drama-filled Singapore Grand Prix Needless to say, I was definately one of them. I mean really, dont we all just love it when there's a crash?! Grins. Watching LIVE made all my hard work paid off. Lucky J, S and ST came to get me from my tent and we took a 5km walk around the entire race track. So its really not all just work. More pictures on next post where J, ST and I went up on the Pit Grandstand and took amazing shots of the Paddock and Singapore Flyer in the background. Managed to wave at HY too, who was medical cover at the track team. I missed meeting up with A on Friday while I was at Pit Grandstand tho.
The perks of our medical cover tags (= We get to go many 'prohibited' places others cant go. When A saw my pictures in my camera, he was envious til death.
Massa's embarrassing moment of him with the fuel hose still attached to the car was hilarious. Must be the lollipop man luh.
Sleeping lollipop man = can die. I was rooting for Kimi Raikkonen the entire time. And it was heartbreaking to watch Raikkonen crash into one of the barriers. I texted TY the very moment Kimi crashed and we just hope he can perform better next up in Japan.
I also gave A many LIVE report updates on race day itself even when he was already at home watching. *Teehee*
On Medical Cover We treated this Japanese guy who was vomitting blood and another scary one was this other Japanese lady who fell and dislocated her ankle. The sight of her ankle was motifying. I kid you not. We also encountered ugly people who arnt angmos but speak with an angmo accent, throwing their weight around over silly little ear plugs. TSK TSK. Overall, meeting people there were from all over the world, the smell of burnt tyres and sound of the cars was the kind of atmosphere I soaked in over the weekend.
In short, the entire street racing F1 experience for me was nothing short of phenomenal !
There can only be one reason And that's because F1 is just tomorrow. I can almost hear the wheels and engines, the crowd going crazy and every corner filled with people together with more people.
This medical cover thing is getting me absurbly excited. To think just yesterday, A found out he got tickets to go F1, pitstop grandstand too! If only I knew, then I woudnt be working and enjoying.
